Sprinkler Installation & Irrigation Services in Anoka, MN

Sunshine Sprinkler Systems is a local irrigation company serving Anoka, MN with sprinkler installation, repair, spring startups, winterization, and commercial irrigation service. We have been doing this work in the Twin Cities metro for 40 years. Anoka is one of the oldest cities in our service area. The soils here drain fast, the housing stock is old, and many properties either never had a system installed or have one that has not been serviced in decades. If you are looking for a sprinkler company that knows how to work with older homes and sandy soil, we are the right call.

Sprinkler System Installation in Anoka

When we install an irrigation system in Anoka, the owner lays out every job personally. Jon has been designing irrigation systems for 40 years, and that experience shows in how we approach a city like this one. Anoka sits on the Anoka Sand Plain, a glacial outwash formation with coarse, sandy soil and high infiltration rates. It drains faster than the clay-heavy soils in Hennepin County cities to the south. The practical consequence: irrigation systems in Anoka need to run more frequent, shorter cycles than in most of the metro.

A smart controller that adjusts run times based on local weather data is particularly useful in these conditions. It can automatically compensate for dry stretches without you having to reprogram by hand. We zone by arc pattern, match precipitation rates across every head, and give you a written quote before we leave. All plumbing work is included.

Every estimate is done on-site in under an hour. We offer Good, Better, and Best installation packages, with the Better and Best tiers including a Hydrawise smart controller.

Additional Services

Repair, Startup & Winterization

Sprinkler Repair in Anoka

Mid-season problems happen: broken heads, stuck valves, leaks you do not notice until your water bill arrives. Our service technicians carry Hunter, Toro, and Rain Bird parts on every truck, so most repairs get handled in a single visit. We service all makes and models, including systems we did not install. The median home in Anoka was built in 1973, and nearly 14% of homes predate 1950. Older and aging systems are common here. We will give you a straight read on what is worth fixing and what needs to be replaced.

Spring Sprinkler Startup in Anoka

We offer spring startup service throughout Anoka each season. We turn the water on, fire up every zone, inspect the heads, check for leaks, and make any needed adjustments. If we find something that needs repair, we open a separate work order at an hourly rate. Anoka's watering restrictions run June 1 through September 1, with a 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. blackout window. Odd addresses water on odd-numbered days; even addresses on even days. Spring startup is a good time to confirm your controller is programmed correctly before the restriction window opens.

Sprinkler Winterization in Anoka

Before the ground freezes, every irrigation system in Minnesota needs to be blown out. Water left in the lines will expand, crack pipes, and damage heads and valves over winter. We schedule fall blowouts throughout Anoka each season. Call early as our fall schedule fills fast.

The city's historic downtown along Main Street, the riverfront parks at the confluence of the Rum and Mississippi Rivers, and the US-169 and Highway 10 commercial corridors round out the market. We provide commercial irrigation service for business properties, school and government facilities, industrial park grounds, and commercial landscaping accounts throughout Anoka.
