What We Do
System design, installation, repair, and seasonal service. All done by Jon and Sam Maeyaert, no subcontractors, no exceptions.
Service 01
Before anything gets scheduled or quoted, Jon comes to your property. He walks the yard himself, takes his own measurements, and designs a system around what is actually there. Your soil, your slope, your water pressure, your zones, your watering schedule.
This is not a phone estimate or a template quote based on square footage. Jon has been doing this in the West Metro since 1986. He knows the soil in Corcoran runs different from Plymouth, that Orono lots get large and terrain gets interesting, and that a lot of municipalities around here have watering restrictions with real fines attached. That local knowledge goes into every design.
You get a detailed estimate and a clear plan before any decision is made. No pressure. No guesswork on either end.
Service 02
Install day is Jon and Sam, start to finish. No subcontractors, no one-day temps brought in to meet a schedule. The two people who show up are the same two people who measured your yard and designed your system.
They are there for the full job. When they leave, the system is running. Every zone is tested, every head is adjusted for coverage, and every line has been checked. The controller is programmed with your schedule, and you get a walkthrough of how to operate everything before they pack up.
There is no coming back next week to finish up. Finished means finished.
Service 03
Broken head, stuck zone, controller on the fritz, line that stopped holding pressure. Jon diagnoses it and fixes it right.
Because Sunshine installed most of the systems they service, Jon already knows how everything is supposed to run when he arrives. Repairs are faster and more accurate when the same people did the original work. No time spent figuring out someone else's system from scratch before the actual problem gets addressed.
For systems Sunshine did not install, Jon brings the same diagnostic approach: walk the system, identify what is actually wrong, and fix the cause, not just the symptom.
Service 04
An irrigation system needs attention at both ends of the season. Skipping either one is how you end up with burst lines in spring or a system that runs poorly all summer.
Sunshine handles spring startups and fall blowouts for systems they installed and for systems from other companies. Spring startup includes a pressure check, head adjustments, zone-by-zone inspection, and controller programming for the current season. Fall winterization uses compressed air to clear every line before the ground freezes.
Mid-season check-ins are available for systems that run into issues during the summer, or for customers who want a coverage audit before the watering restrictions kick in.
