Corcoran, MN · Hennepin County
Sunshine Sprinkler Systems is based in Corcoran, MN. This is our home market. We provide sprinkler installation, repair, spring startup, winterization, and commercial irrigation throughout the city. Corcoran has two distinct irrigation markets: the newer subdivisions along the Maple Grove border served by municipal water, and the older rural properties on private wells. We work both sides of that line, and we know what each one demands.
Service 01
Corcoran is a city of two markets, and installation approach differs meaningfully between them. In the newer subdivisions — Tavera, Bellwether, Rush Creek Reserve, Walcott Glen — properties are on Maple Grove municipal water. These are relatively new homes on established lots, and installation follows the same process as any municipal water hookup: on-site pressure check, zone design by arc pattern, matched precipitation rates, Hydrawise controller option.
The older rural properties on private wells are a different project. Corcoran's well water is known for high iron: hardness typically runs 18 to 30 grains per gallon, with iron averaging 4 to 7 parts per million. At those levels, irrigation systems stain driveways, siding, and sidewalks with orange deposits if the system is not designed correctly. We select iron-resistant nozzles, design zones to minimize overspray onto hardscape, and advise on filtration where iron levels are severe enough to warrant it.
Every estimate in Corcoran is done on-site. Jon personally lays out every installation. We check your water source, measure pressure and flow, and give you a written quote before we leave. This is our home territory and we know every neighborhood in it.
Additional Services
Mid-season problems happen: broken heads, stuck valves, leaks you do not notice until your water bill arrives. Our service technicians carry Hunter, Toro, and Rain Bird parts on every truck, so most repairs get handled in a single visit. We service all makes and models, including systems we did not install. For well-water systems, we also troubleshoot iron staining and flow problems related to well capacity.
We offer spring startup service throughout Corcoran each season. We turn the water on, fire up every zone, inspect the heads, check for leaks, and make any needed adjustments. Properties on Maple Grove municipal water follow Maple Grove's seasonal restrictions during drought conditions. Properties on private wells have no standing city restrictions — we still make sure your controller is programmed sensibly for your property and soil type.
Before the ground freezes, every irrigation system in Minnesota needs to be blown out. Water left in the lines will expand, crack pipes, and damage heads and valves. We schedule fall blowouts throughout Corcoran each season. This is our home base — we are never far away. Call early as our fall schedule fills fast.
Commercial Irrigation
Corcoran's commercial base is smaller than its neighbors but includes properties with real irrigation needs. Pheasant Acres Golf Course and Shamrock Golf Course both operate within or adjacent to the city. The Bellwether 55+ community is one of the larger planned developments in the area, with extensive common-area and amenity-ground irrigation. The County Hwy 10 commercial node has a growing number of retail and light-commercial tenants.
We provide commercial irrigation installation and service for business properties, golf-adjacent turf, HOA common areas, and commercial landscaping accounts throughout Corcoran and the surrounding area.

Jon personally designs every new installation. You are not getting a two-year foreman with a tape measure. The person who built your system is the same person who designed it.
Jon, his son Sam, and Jolene run this business. When you call, Jolene picks up. When we come to measure, it is Jon. When install day comes, it is Jon and Sam.
More Google reviews than our local competitors, and we earn them one job at a time. No franchise standards. No shortcuts. Every system is one we stand behind.
Corcoran properties on private wells have no standing city watering restrictions. Well-water systems can run on whatever schedule makes sense for the property and the season. The main considerations for well properties are well capacity and pump recovery time, which we account for in our zone design and run-time programming.
Corcoran properties in newer subdivisions served by Maple Grove municipal water follow Maple Grove's watering rules during drought or water-shortage conditions. Maple Grove activates odd/even restrictions with a noon to 6 p.m. blackout window when conditions warrant. We program every municipal-water system in Corcoran to run within those parameters from the start.
