Maple Grove, MN · Hennepin County
Sunshine Sprinkler Systems is a local irrigation company serving Maple Grove with sprinkler installation, repair, spring startups, winterization, and commercial irrigation service. We have been doing this work in the Twin Cities metro for 40 years, and Maple Grove is one of our strongest markets. With 40 years of installs behind us and the owner on every job site, we are not a hard company to choose.
Service 01
When we install an irrigation system in Maple Grove, the owner lays out every job personally. Jon has been designing irrigation systems for 40 years, and that experience shows up in the layout. We zone by arc pattern: quarter circles and full circles never share a zone, and we nozzle every head to match precipitation rates across each zone. Most irrigation contractors skip both of these steps. We do not. The result is a system that waters evenly and runs efficiently from the first season.
Every estimate is done on-site in under an hour. We check your water pressure, inspect your plumbing, measure the yard, and hand you a written quote before we leave. All plumbing work is included; no separate contractor needed. We offer Good, Better, and Best installation packages, with the Better and Best tiers including a Hydrawise smart controller that connects to local weather data and adjusts your run times automatically.
If you are in Maple Grove and considering a controller upgrade, the city has an active rebate program that covers 75% of the cost of a WaterSense-certified smart controller, up to $250. Ask us about it when you call.
Additional Services
Mid-season problems happen: broken heads, stuck valves, leaks you do not notice until your water bill arrives. Our service technicians carry Hunter, Toro, and Rain Bird parts on every truck, so most repairs get handled in a single visit. We service all makes and models, including systems we did not install.
We turn the water on, fire up every zone, inspect the heads, check for leaks, and make any needed adjustments. If we find something that needs repair while we are there, we open a separate work order and handle it at an hourly rate. No surprises buried in the startup fee. Spring is also the right time to confirm your system is programmed for your correct watering day under Maple Grove's standing odd-even restrictions.
Before the ground freezes, every irrigation system in Minnesota needs to be blown out. Water left in the lines will expand, crack pipes, and damage heads and valves over winter. We schedule fall blowouts throughout Maple Grove each season, so call early as our fall schedule fills fast.
Commercial Irrigation
Maple Grove has one of the largest commercial footprints in the metro, from the Arbor Lakes retail district to the Arbor Lakes Business Park to dozens of medical, office, and school facilities throughout the city. We provide commercial irrigation service for business properties, HOA common areas, and commercial landscaping accounts.
Maple Grove's HOA irrigation meters carry their own street addresses and must follow odd-even restrictions. Property managers who are not aware of this can generate violations. We know the rules and can help you stay in compliance.

Jon personally designs every new installation. You are not getting a two-year foreman with a tape measure. The person who built your system is the same person who designed it.
Jon, his son Sam, and Jolene run this business. When you call, Jolene picks up. When we come to measure, it is Jon. When install day comes, it is Jon and Sam.
More Google reviews than our local competitors, and we earn them one job at a time. No franchise standards. No shortcuts. Every system is one we stand behind.
During the irrigation season, Maple Grove runs odd-even watering restrictions with a 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily blackout window. Odd-numbered addresses water on odd-numbered days; even-numbered addresses water on even days.
Unlike some cities where restrictions only kick in during drought conditions, Maple Grove's rules are standing: they apply every watering season without a separate trigger. New sod and seed get a 30-day exception, but the blackout window still applies. Minnesota state law also requires all new irrigation systems to include a rain sensor. We install every new system in compliance with current state requirements.
Call Jolene and she will get Jon scheduled for a free on-site estimate. We come out, check your water pressure, measure the yard, and give you a written quote before we leave.
